The arrested men have been identified as Suhel Monsur, 29, and Mukul, 32, both Bangladeshi nationals. The 10 women, who were rescued during the operation, were handed over to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for further proceedings. According to the CCB, preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had allegedly entered India illegally through the West Bengal border around two months ago by paying middlemen. They later shifted to Bengaluru and were allegedly operating a prostitution racket by posting photographs of the women on social media and contacting customers through intermediaries. The police said they received credible information about women from Bangladesh being trafficked and forced into prostitution in the Banaswadi and Hennur Police Station limits. Verification by the FRRO reportedly confirmed that all 12 had entered India illegally.
