Mr. Singh, who represents Prayagraj parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh, said that since the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra was formed under Mr. Modi’s supervision, he ought to accept moral responsibility and clarify his accountability in this matter. Addressing a press conference at Sadaquat Ashram, the State party headquarters in Patna, the Congress leader also questioned why RSS leaders Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, who were associated with the temple Trust, had resigned if no wrongdoing occurred. Singh asked why the people associated with the Trust and the government were afraid of the demand for an independent investigation into the embezzlement case under the supervision of a sitting Supreme Court judge.
